The dark season is....
Depression.
Christians dont understand how christians can become depressed. They must be bound by sin or backslidden or worse. Christ brings joy not depression.... right? I do not claim perfection or all knowing biblical theological answers...but I do know that Job seemed pretty depressed to me. He lost everything except his complaining wife who immedietly advised him to curse God and die!! Pretty depressing!! Then enter his all encouaging friends and his phisical pains and sufferings. Im getting depressed thinking about it! lol :) God came to Job and reminded him who He Is and told him to pray 4 his friends and when he did he was restored and his household and property and children and animals more than before (same ol wife ) :)!! Lol
My point ~ when depression strikes** dont loose focus on God!!! He is the One 2bring you through. I believe it does affect christians and that it IS real!! I am not suggestion to overmedicate the world...simple destressing measures can help immeasurably. :) my personal experiance has been that because of side effects less medication is better:) but always pray and do what u and ur dr feel r best! Ultimatly its between u and God!! He made ur body and expects u 2take care ofit until ur soul leaves it 4 heaven!!! :)

A day 2 remember
Mothers day comes once a year. Its a time to remember our moms. The women who birthed us and also the women who raised us even when we didnt want to be raised! Lol When a woman becomes a mom....there is always pain and happiness involved! Now women dont have to give birth to be a Mom... I have to much proof for that...but then thats another conversagion I think ;) ! A friend of mine feels left out on Mother s Day because she isnt married and she doesnt have any children. I reminded her that she is Mommy to Kotton ...her dog...she didnt consider that the same and really it isnt. On Mothers Day I always think about the many woman who've been irreplacible in my life....woman who always seem to be there right when I need them most! Its amazing how Gods children are like that!
My grannie was more like a mom than a grannie. I loved our midnight girltalks ~just the 2of us. I cherish those memories.
My aunts have been like moms ... guiding me...loving me... being there thru it all.
My birthmom was amazing...and I hate that my memories are so few of her because of that cruel concussion I had after the wreck that killed her.
My Momma is awesome. She has taught me to love with the love of Jesus...forever and ever amen kinda love! Not unless u dont do it like ths kinda luv! She has luved me when I was the hurting teenager aching for the birthmom striped away in death screaming in her face ur not my mom....yet she loved me still and took care of me. She was ther when my dad went 2 war. She was there when i became a woman. She was there when i was tricked into getting drunk on vodka because i thought it was sprite....and she held me when i threw it all up. She was there when i had to move to a new school on my 16th birthday! She was there when i graduated high school then junior college. She did everythinf...literally...for my wedding...in one monnth...because i was in love and pregnant with her granddaughter. She was there when i had her 1st grandaughter and rubbed my back thru the contractions as i screamed @my new husband 2dont touch me!!! Lol she was there thru my other 2 births (afterwards to help) and when my birthdad disowned me several times over the years...including now because I love her and they are divorced....she is still there for me and my family! She is the rock I can always depend on. I dont get to see her nearly enough....distance and dougs sickness but she is there.
Today was phenomenal!!! Sister made me a plaque and Bubba made me a tote and Perry decorated an adorable card!!! We had grilled chicken, corn, carrots, and chicken rice yummm!!! With pineapple mirangue cake 4dessert!
Service was about moms this am....awesome!!! And tonight was about following Gods plan very good!!

Time is filled with swift transition
Oh what a loaded statement...lol!!! Days like today fill my heart with a variety of feelings! Good bad and ugly!! My baby boy will graduate from preschool next week and start kindergarten next fall. My midddle son will start 5th grade and my daughter will start her junior yr of high school and has already begun lookin @colleges. Sweet depression does come to mind and yes it makes perfect and total since!!! Lol We are so proud of them .... she ants to be a doctor or a therapist and kaegan wants to be a game warden or in the military like his uncles. Perry wants to be a policeman or a fireman or a preacher. :) I am so proud of them! I just want them to serve God and be happy. We have already had to teach them how to deal with alot of change in their young lives... God is wise...he has a plan. I trust Him!

Sourthern Girls "grown up" Thoughts ;)
I was born an raised in the South and I am proud of that. I am an American and I am Very proud of that. I am a Christian and I am Very Very thankful for that gift that I accepted. I am a resident of our planet Earth and I am doing my part to care for it...not worship it. Why am I telling you this? I am telling you these thoughts because the President of the United States of America was quoted with this statement " one of the great strengths of the United States, is we have a very large christian population... we do not consider ourselves a christian nation or a jewish nation or a muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals, and a set of values." 4/6/09 Turkey press conference
*"I am sure there never was a people who had more reason to acknowledge a Divine interpostion in their affairs than the United States, and I should be pained to believe that they have forgotten that agency, which was so often manifested during our Revolution, or that they failed to consider the omnipresence of that God who is alone able to protect them." ~George Washington
Sometimes I truly think people get so confused they cant see the end of their own nose. Its unreal!! God Is Real! The KJV Bible is true! Judgement IS coming! Ready or not!
If u would like to find out how to get ready ... I can help you. First we were all born sinners. You must realize your need of a savior and that being Jesus Christ and then repent! Then you talk to Jesus about it. He died on the cross for all of us to be saved...thank Him. Love Him. Ask His forgivness. He will forgive all. Then tell someone the good news and go to church to learn more from his word and draw strength for the trials of living life and support for walking through whatever :)! His yoke is easy and His burden light!!! :) Count ur many blessings name them one by one! Keep praying and studying scripture then seek for the sweet Holy Ghost who is the Comforter. :) Grow in grace and mercy!! :)

Perrys going to see alpacas
A forgotten child by choice
How do u choose to forget your own flesh and blood? I have children and no matter what they do...or say....i would never ever disown them or "ignore" their very existance. My Dad has chosen to do that very thing. For over 4 years he has chosen to ignore my existance and my family has blossomed without his involvement. He doesnt even know about my lil Perrys smile and how smart he is! He doesnt know that Perry starts kindergarten this fall or that he has a "huntin" cat he named cow! He doesnt know about the medals Kaegan earned for scoring the highest possible score on the armt tests or how he loves the cival war. He doesnt know abbout how Kaegan has read the entire series written by Laura Ingals Wildar and how he adores the Narnia series because of the allegorical references to Christ and Heaven! He missed out on Paiges tween years and her getting her learners permit. He doesnt know about her desire to be an ER dr and how she is soaring in the Honors program at school. He missed out on so many good and bad life experiences but Thank God I didnt! My children will never go through the pain and rejection that a parent can choose to inflict because I choose to love them with Gods agape love...no matter what...for all eternity. Our experience has truly proven that all things work 2gether 4good for those who love God and are called according 2His purpose...because this horrible experience has taught me something beautiful! Never stop loving ... even when love is rejected....my love continues...just like Jesus love does! Isnt that the point of serving Christ...to become like Him more every day! So ultimately I thank my Dad for this painful rejection because it has taught ME to love unconditionally forever! :)
